The Elmore County Board of Registrars consists of three members who are appointed by the Governor, the State Auditor and the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries. Registrars serve for a period of four years from the date of appointment. The current Board Members are Anne Robinson, Chairman; Nancy Taylor and Susan Swink. They maintain the voting records of all registered voters in Elmore County.
To register to vote in the state of Alabama, you must be a citizen of the United States, reside in Alabama, be at least 18 years old, have not been convicted of a felony offense, or if you have, you must have had your civil rights restored, and must be “mentally competent.”
In addition, Postcard Voter Registration forms are available in Millbrook at the satellite car tag office in Memorial Park. The registration forms can be mailed to the Registrars’ Office.
When voters move to Elmore County from another county, they must re-register. Their voter registration does not automatically transfer from one county to another. |
