"It is a great honor to represent Elmore County and the state ofAlabama in this capacity. I wish to recognize my staff at the Elmore County Highway Department and the Association of County Engineers of Alabama who have made this endeavor one I can participate in; but most ofall I would like to thank the Elmore County Commission whose support and vision has made this opportunity a reality," said Beyer.
Beyer has worked in county engineering for more than 15 years, serving as Elmore County Engineer since 2003. With a county population of approximately 80,000, he is responsible for 775 miles of paved roads, 230 miles of unpaved roads, and 127 bridge structures.
